Finding local-first free wedges inside paid Chrome extensions
A public recap of Chrome extension replica research for indie builders.
Today's automation run continued to focus on mid-sized paid Chrome extensions: products with enough users to show demand, enough commercial signal to matter, and enough friction to leave room for a sharper local-first product.

The key question was not simply which product was largest. The stronger signal was whether the core job could be completed inside the browser without an account or a server dependency. Accounts, cloud sync, and licensing can wait for a later Pro layer; the free MVP should complete one useful workflow immediately.
The exact opportunity list remains internal. This public recap explains the method and shows a redacted workflow without publishing a directly copyable opportunity map.
