The Salesforce Flow MetaData Downloader is a Chrome extension that allows developers and administrators to easily download or copy the metadata of Salesforce flows directly from the Salesforce Lightning interface.

Great Extension for just getting the metadata to do simple comparisons, or using the AI prompts also. I would only activate it for when I need it. I would love to see this as part of Salesforce Inspector Reloaded AND for it to be on any setup page, eg to download the metadata for a field, an object (including all fields), a page layout, or a lightning page for example. Here is an excellent post as to how to do simple comparisons https://katiekodes.com/compare-salesforce-flow-versions-vscode/ this was created before the included Flow Comparison tool in Winter '26 but the Flow Comparison tool does not compare screen flows at this stage.

For deeper analysis, you can easily extract the Flow using a built-in prompt and paste it into your favorite LLM tool. The extension is evolving rapidly, and the author is responsive, open to feedback, and continuously improving the tool based on community input. A must-have for any Flow builder!
