I really wanted to enjoy the chrome extension but unfortunately is still really buggy. The first time I tried to text-to-speech, it stuck at 0% and very slowly reach 1%. I thought of doing something else while it created the audio, but when I clicked in links it didn't work, creating new chrome tabs didn't work and soon after I couldn't even scroll. It complete froze. It was so frozen that I couldn't close it normally, I had to terminate Chrome with task manager and open it again. Thats when I realize I didn't downloaded the model in the first place, and would explain why it didn't make any progress. So I click to download, the progress bar bounced quite a lot while downloading. It was taking its time and wanted to do other things and It froze again, couldn't close any chrome tabs or open new ones, no scrolling, no nothing. I really hope the developer improves this extension, he's making a great service to everybody by making this for free. I would love to use this extension and avoid using the other ones that ask for an account, accept their terms and conditions, and their privacy policy. I wish the developer sees this and continues to develop it, please and thank you

It works pretty well, no over the top voices or robotic. However UX/UI could improve with additional features and sometimes it crashes and I have to wait for it to restart. Let me know if some in depth feedback. I think it's heading to the right direction!

ho tentato di usare questo lettore di testo, ripremetto che ho tentato.. abbreviatamente quando dopo aver selezionato il testo e che poi vado nel suo menù per provarlo a sentire, il menù si blocca e nello stesso tempo tutto il browser/siti si bloccano, come se rompesse qualcosa in chrome. per risolvere ho dovuto riavviare il mio pc almeno 2 volte per risolvere il problema, premetto anche qua che ho specificato due volte perche riprovando ad riusare di nuovo l'estensione si riblocca di nuovo tutto il browser alla stessa maniera. come ho detto, lo subito disinstallata per sicurezza e per la sicurezza del mio browser, non so bene quale e il problema però consiglierei personalmente allo sviluppatore che prima di rendere al pubblico una sua creazione ovvero questo lettore di testo, prima di provare almeno ad usarlo qualche volta perche a me per ora risulta completamente difettato. a me e successo questo problema, non so se e accaduto a qualcun'altro. comunque per me e una stella anche se volevo zero stelle, mi dispiace perche questa estensione mi sembrava bella, completa e persino senza abbonamenti o costi(ormai frequente oggi ovunque), sono rimasto molto deluso e non mi aspettavo che un problema del genere mi rompeva momentaneamente chrome. saluti.

It does work David! Download might be stuck at 100% after which it goes to 0%?, but just wait it out. I waited about 30 seconds after 100% and then i got to the settings. Thank you for making this!

This is great! The voices sound awesome. The fact that it works locally is a HUGE plus. My only complaint is that it takes WAY too long to generate. I had to wait over 5 minutes for it to generate the speech for a single paragraph, even in streaming mode. Is there anything that can be done about this? Edit: Sometimes it just stops working completely. I can tell this because I can see from the GPU usage meter in my menu bar that it isn't even doing anything. It works again if I reopen chrome but this is too tedioius. Can you fix this please?
