🔒 Incognito Tab Mover: Elevate Your Private Browsing Experience
- Version 2.1 Bug Fix Update: Fixed critical issues where extension would fail silently, keyboard shortcuts worked incorrectly, and users received no feedback when operations failed.
Navigating the web privately is vital when you need a clean slate or wish to keep your browsing sessions confidential. However, we've all been there—opening a tab in incognito mode for privacy, only to realize it's something we need for the longer term. Traditionally, you're left with two less-than-ideal choices: bookmarking the page for future reference or the tedious task of manually copying and opening it in a regular browser window.
Introducing "Incognito Tab Mover"—the seamless bridge between privacy and productivity. Our extension effortlessly transfers tabs from incognito to regular windows with simple keystrokes: ALT+M (Option+M on Mac) for a single tab or ALT+SHIFT+M (Option+Shift+M on Mac) to move all tabs at once! URLs are smoothly transitioned while session history remains untouched, preserving your privacy.
Tab Groups Note: When using Chrome's tab groups, the extension moves the individual tabs but doesn't preserve the group structure. For best results with tab groups, use Alt+Shift+M to move all tabs at once. The extension works with both expanded and collapsed tab groups, and no drag-and-drop action is needed.
⚠️ Important: You must enable "Allow in Incognito" for this extension to function. Find this option in extension settings after installation.

This app no longer works as advertised. When I go to move all apps only one switches over to incognito.
Finally, an incognito mover that actually works well! I love this extension and it's significantly better than the alternatives. I have one small feature request: it would be great if the tab could move back into its original browser window instead of opening a new one. Great work by the developer!
It works only with keyboard shortcuts. I'd prefer having a new option in the tab right click menu that would move the tab to the incognito window.
Nice work, recommended. Note: You could feature 2 modes operation: 1st: Express, Just offer to click the extension button in the Chrome's extension's bar. No green buttons to press. Quick. 2nd: Extended, as it is now with the 2 green buttons (Switch tab incognito/normal, Switch all tabs...)
I wish there was a way to do the reverse and change normal tabs into incognito ones
Highly recommended! Works great and makes this essential tool incredibly helpful. The developer deserves great credit—shortly after I and other commented on a bulk-moving option, he promptly updated the tool. Well done!
I could only get it to move individual tabs, not tab groups. Perhaps additional instructions could be added beside Alt+M. I did not see any additional info on your LinkedIn announcement. I'll happily update the review in the future.
Awesome extenstion
Just added this extension, it's a lifesaver! Always found it annoying to copy URLs from incognito to keep tabs for later. This tool makes it so easy with just a shortcut. Big shoutout to Creator for creating this – totally makes browsing smoother without the hassle. Def recommend trying it out!
