This is a great extension, but I am experiencing one issue. Whenever I restart Chrome, my tab groups are duplicated. I always have to manually delete the duplicates so only one remains. Could you please look into this? Thank you.

This has become one of my must have extensions. Makes tracking my tabs 100x easier as I tend to collect tabs like crazy (currently have 50+ tabs and sometimes multiple widows with 30+). The Chromium bug fix finally rolled out to Chrome so I was able to re-enable this and I severely missed while I had it disabled. Potential request would be if it's possible to avoid duplicate groups appearing in the "Saved Tab Groups". I don't actually use that functionality (saving) but I've had to list group super long. Guessing it's more of a Chrome issue and not the extension since I assume they auto save

One of the top 10 Chrome extensions of all time. It’s incredibly helpful for keeping tabs under control. I honestly don’t know how I managed without it before. There are a few minor bugs, like tab group names occasionally disappearing or repeating in the bookmarks bar, but the value it provides easily outweighs those small issues.

a feature so good it should be built-in. well done ty update 2026-04-16 from 5 stars to 2: massive performance hit every time a new tab is opened. I have 11 rules in options, and opened a new tab when there were 3 tabs total. A massive 2~4 second stutter occurs. was completely stumped until i disabled extension by extension until i found out auto-group was the culprit. i love this extension, plz fix. though i wouldn't be surprised if this was a chromium bug. The main-thread of chrome is obviously blocked during the lag, all windows freeze, including chrome task manager and profiler (i was profiling looking for the stutter) my rules are pretty simple, some exact some with blobs. im not sure if this is my machine specific or reproducible. but other users beware.

I have been using this extension for quite sometime now, it worked great. Currently when I try to add pattern and "drag + click" multi-text, it closes the pop-up :( Additionally, looks like there is some chromium bug on group names which is affecting all auto tab extensions, this as well. Hopefully it gets fixed soon :)

Keeps messing up the group tab names and replace them with 1 tab or blank when I reopen a group tab on Chrome or Brave. It works on Firefox, but still bugs out using this extension or any auto group tab extension on Edge, Chrome, or Brave.

Hi, labels sometimes vanish and I am forced to close and open the group tab the to make it reappear (but breaks again after opening a new tab). I am using Brave browser, I don't know if it affects only Brave but used to work flawless before. I hope you can look into this issue 🙏
