ChatGPT DOM Trimmer keeps ChatGPT tabs fast and responsive by limiting how many old messages remain in the DOM. Prevents gigabyte-level RAM usage, reduces slowdowns, and offers one-click cleanup tools—all running locally in your browser with zero data sent anywhere.

NOTE: After enabling trimming it will take a moment for the garbage collection kick and the unused DOM references to be deleted; And it will take another moment for the Chrome tab displaying the memory usage to react to the changes.

To load older chat messages just tick "Disable Trimming" and refresh the page.

None of your data can be touched by the extensions, only the local copy in your browser is edited.
