The "Excerpt with Link" extension copies selected text and the associated webpage link (URL) to the clipboard. This provides a quick and simple way to cite website text.

Select desired text, then open the context menu and select "Excerpt with Link" from the menu. You can normally open the context menu by right-clicking.

Please let me know of any issues you experience before writing a review -- I'm happy to continue to improve the solution. The extension is provided 'As-Is' without any express or implied warranty of any kind.

Note that I do not collect any information from the extension -- all handling is done at your local browser.

Very useful! The current implementation can't accurately locate the selected text, only the web page. Edge has a "copy link to highlight" option, which may be upgraded. Thank you.
