YT Search Helper is a lightweight browser extension for people who want a more focused YouTube search fixer. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by YouTube or Google.

What it can do:

Search results — Remove or reduce common clutter: recommendation shelves, horizontal suggestion rows, Shorts shelves and Shorts video tiles, playlist and mix tiles, channel cards, live/premiere rows, and more (all optional in settings).

Shorts — Optionally open Shorts URLs as a normal watch page instead of the Shorts player.

URL tuning — Optionally simplify noisy search URLs and use a stricter “videos-only” style filter when you want tighter results.

Loop safety — URL redirects use a short cooldown so you don’t get stuck in refresh loops.
