Pinyin Overlay is a Chrome extension that overlays Pinyin transliterations directly above Chinese characters on web pages, facilitating reading and language learning.

Great extension. Very simple to use, does exactly what it says it does. So far have had no problems with accuracy -- you will have to know all tone sandhi yourself of course (even all the complex rules on changes to neutral tone), but other than that this is a very helpful tool.
