I’ve been really enjoying this loop extension so far. The A–B loop feature is already more intuitive than many similar tools, and that’s exactly why I feel it has the potential to become the “No.1 loop extension” if it keeps improving. I’d like to share a few suggestions that I genuinely hope can be implemented. (Think of this as 70% praise, 30% “friendly requests” 😊) Here are the key feature requests: 0. Fine-tune A and B points with keyboard shortcuts - After roughly setting A and B with the mouse or shortcuts, I’d love to fine-tune them by 0.1 seconds or even frame-by-frame using the keyboard. - Example (just a suggestion; you will know better which keys are best): - Adjust A point: - Alt + ← : move A earlier by 0.1s - Alt + → : move A later by 0.1s - Adjust B point: - Shift + Alt + ← : move B earlier by 0.1s 1. Use left/right click to set A and B points more intuitively - Currently, when I click, it feels like only the B point of the A–B section keeps getting updated, which makes fine-tuning a bit inconvenient. - Suggestion: - Left click: set A point - Right click: set B point - This would make it much more natural to mark A and B directly on the timeline with the mouse, which would be super helpful for editing, studying, or looping music segments. 2. Keep the feature enabled automatically across videos - Right now, it seems I need to click the button for every single video to activate the visualization/loop feature, which slightly breaks the flow when working through multiple videos. - Suggestion: - Once the user enables “A–B section display/loop,” keep it active when moving on to the next video. - Possible option: - A toggle like “Keep A–B section display enabled (per site / globally)” - This would greatly improve productivity when going through playlists, lectures, or multiple songs in a row. 3. Allow multiple A–B sections in a single video - At the moment, it feels like I can effectively use only one loop section per video, but there are many cases where I want to loop several different parts. - Suggestions: - Support multiple sections: - e.g., Section 1 (A1–B1), Section 2 (A2–B2), Section 3 (A3–B3), etc. - Allow simple labels/names for each section: - e.g., “Chorus,” “Rap verse,” “Important explanation 1,” etc. - Provide a list of sections where I can: - Select which section to loop - Or loop only the selected ones in sequence - With this alone, the extension would become an amazing tool for music practice, language learning, and lecture review, which I believe would also boost its popularity. 4. Fine-tune A and B points with keyboard shortcuts - After roughly setting A and B with the mouse, I’d love to fine-tune them by 0.1 seconds or even frame-by-frame using the keyboard. - Example (just a suggestion; you will know better which keys are best): - Adjust A point: - Alt + ← : move A earlier by 0.1s - Alt + → : move A later by 0.1s - Adjust B point: - Shift + Alt + ← : move B earlier by 0.1s - Shift + Alt + → : move B later by 0.1s - Even a simple set of shortcuts like this would make it much easier to find the “perfect” loop points, significantly improving user satisfaction. In short: - The extension is already very solid, and I truly appreciate the work that has gone into it. - But with features 1–4 above, I think it could realistically become the go-to standard for loop/A–B repeat tools. - Most importantly, these improvements would make the extension feel much more convenient for a wide range of users, which I believe would naturally lead to more likes, recommendations, and overall popularity. I’m sharing this because I find your extension genuinely useful and want to see it grow even more. I’d be very grateful if you could seriously consider these requests, and I’ll be cheering for you to reach “No.1 loop extension” status! 🙌
Perfect. I have looked for an extension like this for long. It works perfectly and user friendly.
