YouTube Transcript Extractor is a Chrome extension that lets you easily copy video transcripts without cluttering your YouTube interface. The extension works through a simple popup, keeping the familiar YouTube layout intact.

Important Note: This extension can only extract transcripts that are already embedded in YouTube videos. If a video doesn't have captions or transcripts provided by the creator or YouTube, the extension cannot generate them.

Key features include:

- Extract full transcripts with timestamps

- Convert YouTube Shorts url to regular watch mode url

- Copy extracted transcripts to clipboard

Doesn't work... When I open a YouTube video, click the YouTube Transcript Extractor icon in the bar on top, press "Extract transcript", and "Copy to clipboard", when I paste the text copied into a text editor, the content reads "Transcript", it is not the transcript itself!
