A browser extension that progressively immerses you in a language. Using Google Translate we translate frequent words in sites you read to a language you want to learn! This will not teach you a language but instead hopefully expand your vocab.
This extension is open-source and we do not track your data. BUT, it does send words selected to be translated directly to Google Translate, which can be a privacy risk. You should add websites you want the extension not to analyze to the exclusion list, or turn the extension off before visiting them. Be warned though that the extension starts to analyze a page when it starts to load so you should turn it off or add a page to the exclusion list before loading it.

Pretty good for getting more used to vocabulary, with three major caveats however: (1) It is terrible for grammar because it pretty much just plainly replaces words exactly, so only use it for vocab, not grammar or sentence structure; (2) For me at least, the introduction of new words was much too slow, so I spent a bit of time adding common words myself; and (3) When it translates "I" to your target language, it translates it to be in all capital letters just because the original "I" is capital as it should be in English. For example, since I'm learning German, it translates "I" into "ICH" instead of just "Ich". Besides that, it's a decent extension for getting more used to new vocabulary mixed into your normal English web pages.
Great tool for learning vocabulary while browsing reddit, or any other site! It can be a little buggy on some sites in the current state, but it's easy to whitelist or blacklist sites as needed. Because of how it works, it doesn't always teach correct grammar or sentence structure. But if you're strictly trying to build vocabulary, and keep that caveat in mind, it's quite effective.
