I've tried a few extensions like this. This one is, by far, the best.
please update it to meet chrome best practices
Nice, but it's a bit annoying that the page starts rendering and the it gets moved. Would it possible to render directly at the desired position? Also the extension UI could be a bit nicer.
It works where many other do not. Suggestion: it would be very useful to also have controls to align the page more to the left or to the right.

I tried this kind of extensions many times. And, This is the best for me. Because, This extension work in almost case without problem. I definitely recommend to use this app for those who uses widescreen.
