Checkers

Checkers is a classic board game that falls under the category of droughts games. It is played on an 8×8 board with 12 pieces for each player. The game involves strategic moves and captures in a diagonal fashion.

Rules

- Any colored side may play first, unlike the standard rule where black typically starts the game.

- Regular pieces can only move forward diagonally.

- “Kinged” pieces, obtained when a piece reaches the opposite end of the board, can move both backward and forward diagonally.
