A chrome extension to play HTML5 Video element in full screen. It lets you play videos without a full screen option, such as YouTube shorts and Instagram/Facebook reels, in full screen.
After turning the extension ON by toggling the switch provided via the extension popup, you'll see a full screen button on the top right corner of each compatible video. You can then go full screen by clicking this button. Alternatively you can press the Shift + V shortcut keys to go full screen on the current video.

Really love the extension it is best out there for embedded videos. I did notice one small drawback: when a video is zoomed in, it leaves a black hue gradient at the bottom. I dug into this, and it is actually a built-in feature of Chrome's native HTML5 video player. Chrome automatically adds a dark gradient behind the media controls (inside the Shadow DOM) to ensure the control buttons and timestamps are readable when played over light-colored video backgrounds. How to Fix It You can easily remove this by overriding the default background properties of Chrome's media control panel to make it fully transparent. In your content.css file, simply update the block targeting the webkit media controls by adding background-color: transparent !important; and background-image: none !important;. Here is what the updated CSS block should look like: .fsV-force-video-controls::-webkit-media-controls, .fsV-force-video-controls::-webkit-media-controls-enclosure, .fsV-force-video-controls::-webkit-media-controls-panel { display: flex !important; opacity: 1 !important; visibility: visible !important; /* Add the two lines below to strip out the black gradient */ background-color: transparent !important; background-image: none !important; }
just wow, add download though
The extension is very nice and distinctive. However, it has only one drawback: it leaves black areas at the bottom of the video when it is zoomed in. It would be better if this could be avoided so that when the video is zoomed in, it remains clean and unaffected, as it originally is.
GOOD,but there bug in youtube ,there 2 full-screen icon on the video
Some recent update seemingly broke ability to type capital "V" on some pages since shift+v hotkey is intercepted.
works
It works as it says. Fullscreen video accessible whenever and easy to deactivate the option.
