A browser extension that lets you speed read and listen to text on a neat, clutter and ad free window. If speed reading or listening to text (text to speech) isn't your cup of tea, you can still use our Read Mode to view web content without ads, popups and other annoying distractions. To enhance readability for dyslexic users, we've also included a dyslexia-friendly font, making the reading experience more accessible and enjoyable.

How do we facilitate Speed Reading?

Users can harness the power of Rapid Serial Visual Presentation (RSVP) to absorb information up to 3 times faster than traditional reading methods. TheReadTime empowers you to swiftly navigate through web content, dramatically increasing your information intake with minimal loss of comprehension.

Ways you can Speed Read:

1) Directly launch any web page in a new speed reading window.

2) Highlight any text area on a webpage and right-click to choose the speed reading option.

This app needs a lot of work. I really want to like it, and I can't lie and say that it hasn't been helpful but if you plan on reading a lot at once, be prepared for it to just not work at all if you select more than a paragraph. If you get the forever spinning loading symbol you have to exit out and then reselect a way smaller portion to speed read. I paid for the yearly subscription because the TTS does help a lot but the hassle of having to wait and do such small portions to read is kind of making me regret the year long purchase (which I didn't even mean to do to be honest, I meant to do the one month subscription). I hope this gets better because the TTS is veeery helpful and I do plan on using it (I mean, I paid for it already) but I wish this app was fleshed out more. If it could handle 3 or 4 paragraphs at a time this would be at least a 4 star app.

Hello, I’m trying the extension, and I think it’s very good. I’d like to share some things that I’ve observed: On pages with extensive information, the app becomes slow. For example: https://www.vatican.va/roman_curia/pontifical_councils/justpeace/documents/rc_pc_justpeace_doc_20060526_compendio-dott-soc_sp.html When the options "Show Time & Words Remaining" are selected, the prompt shows the last word, the dot, and the first word of the next sentence. However, this affects the reading experience. I think that at the end of sentences, only the dot should appear. I hope these observations help you. Thanks for sharing!

What I love about this extension is that in addition to being a fully-fledged speed reader, it also lets me read website content the traditional way but without ads and other distractions.
