Retro Bowl College - Football Games

Retro Bowl College faithfully recreates the look and feel of classic football games from the NES and SEGA Genesis days. The visuals feature chunky players, a field viewed from the side, and an old school scoreboard. The presentation aims to be like a stripped-down version of the football you’d watch on TV back in the 80s and 90s.

As coach, you take control of your college football team and guide them through seasons, playoffs, and a national championship. Gameplay occurs through choosing plays and controlling players on the field. There are two modes – Season and Playoff. Season mode lets you play through regular seasons and conference championship games. Playoff mode jumps right into the postseason fun.

On offense, you pick plays like passes, runs, and kicks. Touchscreen controls make playing these out easy. Select a receiver to throw to them or swipe up to kick. Key actions like sprinting and stiff-arms add more options. On defense, you select coverage types and control defenders. Time key hits for big tackles or swats. Win games through smart play-calling and execution.

While simple to play, it takes skill to master Retro Bowl College. You have to craft game plans based on opponent strengths and weaknesses and adjust on the fly. Carefully managing the clock and players leads to victory. It captures the chess match feel of real football in an accessible retro package.
