AI 产品解读Non-custodial Cardano blockchain wallet for managing ADA, native assets, staking, DApp connections, and DeFi interactions
Provides a comprehensive all-in-one interface for users to interact with the Cardano blockchain ecosystem - managing crypto assets, staking to 3,000+ pools, swapping tokens, connecting to DApps (DEXes, NFT marketplaces, lending platforms), participating in governance and Catalyst voting, and converting between fiat and crypto
User installs extension → creates a new wallet (generates seed phrase) or imports existing wallet via seed phrase → sets a local PIN code for access → manages ADA/assets, stakes to pools, connects to DApps, swaps tokens, or buys/sells via fiat ramps. Private keys are stored encrypted locally on the user's computer. The extension injects a Cardano provider into web pages enabling DApp connections.

- 目标用户
- Cardano blockchain users and investors / DeFi users on the Cardano ecosystem / NFT collectors and traders on Cardano / ADA stakers seeking pool delegation / Hardware wallet users managing Cardano assets
- No deep inspection of the wallet creation flow UI code to confirm zero remote account requirement
- The doRestrictFeatures flag (bg.js line 108) checks for ccwallet.io/ccvault.io domains suggesting feature restriction may exist on legacy domains but not in the extension context where apiURL is api.eternl.io

No evidence of paid features within the extension. No premium tiers, no Stripe/payment processing, no subscription APIs, no upgrade prompts, no gated features found. The 'premium' keyword search returned zero matches. The 'subscription' matches are all RxJS library objects (Subscription pattern), not payment subscriptions. The imprint content explicitly states 'Free Wallet Software' (ui/ImprintContent.js line 137). Fiat on/off ramp providers (Mercuryo, Guardarian, Transak, StealthEX) are third-party external services for buying/selling crypto, not Eternl's own paid features.

- Eternl is a non-custodial cryptocurrency wallet. Users create or import wallets using a seed phrase locally - no remote service account is required. The PIN code and biometric authentication (found in ui/Login.js, ui/PINLogin.vue_vue_type_script_setup_true_lang.js, translations/locales/en-US/pin.json) are local security mechanisms to protect locally stored encrypted private keys, not service-based login. The hardcoded TOKEN in app/bg.js (line 180) is an app initialization parameter, not a user credential. All 'account' references in the code (e.g., bg.js lines 523-627) refer to Cardano blockchain wallet accounts, not user service accounts.
Much more better than Yoroi! Even when using Eternl as an observing tool only.
Leider fehlen dem Wallet Grundfunktionen wie zb dass man die Staking Einnahmen vom letzten Jahr erfährt (was man ja nun mal fürs Finanzamt braucht)
New UI still clunky and slow
Feature Request: WalletConnect 2.0 Cold Wallet Support for Eternl Summary Eternl Chrome Extension should support generating WalletConnect 2.0 connection QR codes so that non-USB hardware wallets can securely connect by scanning the code. Currently, Eternl acts only as a DApp client that scans WalletConnect QR codes—it cannot *generatethem—leaving users with non-USB hardware wallets without any secure method to use Eternl. The Problem Hardware wallets with USB support can connect normally: ✅ Hardware wallets *withoutUSB support have no secure connection method with Eternl: ❌ As a result, users are forced to: * Create multiple hot wallets * Manage several recovery phrases * Repeatedly transfer funds from their cold wallet * Spread assets across multiple accounts, increasing risk Proposed Solution 1. Eternl generates a WalletConnect 2.0 QR code 2. The hardware wallet scans the QR code 3. The cold wallet signs transactions, while Eternl serves as the interface This requires no USB, no extra fees, and no changes to the familiar WalletConnect user experience. User Pain Points & Improvements Non-USB hardware wallet users currently face high friction and security drawbacks. Implementing this feature would provide: One Eternl hot wallet + a cold wallet for signing No additional recovery phrases Assets remain fully in the cold wallet No repeated transfers or extra fees A familiar, seamless WalletConnect experience Why Eternl Should Implement This 1. Addresses a critical need Non-USB hardware wallet users currently have *no secure wayto use Eternl. This solution is the only viable method to support them. 2. Greatly improves user experience The connection flow matches existing WalletConnect usage. No learning curve, and hardware wallet users can finally interact with Eternl securely. 3. Strong market differentiation Being the first to implement this feature would: Establish Eternl as the most secure Cardano extension Attract security-focused and institutional users Strengthen Eternl’s leadership position in the ecosystem 4. Benefits the broader Cardano ecosystem Hardware wallet developers would no longer need to build USB drivers, lowering development costs and enabling more hardware wallet projects to join the ecosystem. Technical Feasibility Existing standards support this WalletConnect 2.0 already supports DApp mode Hardware wallets already support Wallet mode Encoding and signing standards are well established Low implementation effort Mainly involves QR generation and session management No new dependencies required No USB driver development needed Implementation Requirements (Condensed) QR Code Generation Generate WalletConnect 2.0 QR codes in DApp mode Include required Cardano parameters Produce a fresh session QR each time Interface Clear, large QR display Connection status indicators: Waiting / Connected / Failed Session Management List connected hardware wallets Allow selection of signing wallet Support disconnecting individual sessions Security QR contains no private keys Validate connection integrity Provide irreversible-signature warnings Conclusion Users with non-USB hardware wallets currently have no secure way to interact with Eternl, forcing them into unsafe or inconvenient workarounds such as multiple hot wallets, extra recovery phrases, or unnecessary fund transfers. Allowing Eternl to generate WalletConnect 2.0 QR codes would enable secure cold-wallet signing through a familiar, fully standardized workflow. This feature is technically straightforward, low-cost to implement, and offers significant benefits—enhancing user security, expanding Eternl’s capabilities, and raising the overall standard of the Cardano ecosystem. This is a high-impact, low-effort improvement and should be prioritized.
This wallet is so slow, and it keeps lagging — both on my phone and on Chrome.
Excellent product, works as intended every time. Hats off to the team for their great work!
By far the top wallet experience on Cardano!
Great wallet! Thank you for making it.
My first wallet for Cardano was Deadalus = full node. Did testing and got many rewards, in the beginning, 2017/2018 After yoroi, good experience. After eternl, best experience so far. works fine and is easy to use. eternl is a light wallet, easy to manage multiple wallets. Taptools.io is best addition for overview portfolio / wallets / history. 2 improvements by dev team on the way: waiting now for midnight ledger signing update and for catalayst registration option..
