Chrome History Cleaner extension clears only the browsing history automatically when the browser starts every time. This will not clear cookies, cache and passwords etc., to keep the user session alive.
You can schedule this extension to run every predefined time interval such as 5, 10, 15 minutes. You can select the time interval from the extension popup page.
Support for clearing the other browsing data will be added soon.
1.0.5 - Added support clearing the history on startup if the time is set.

WORST OF TIME

Periodic clean does not work on my Chromebook.
work perfectly. Update your plugin and add more option
Thanks for making this extension! However, it no longer cleans the history at startup if you are not using the timer functionality (version 1.0.5). Is it possible to make it clean the history at startup, also if "Every ... minutes" is set to "Not set" please? Or perhaps even better: add a 2nd option "Clean at startup" (yes/no). Then you can set the "Clean at startup" and "Clean every X minutes" independently, and use what you want. I prefer to keep my history while my browser is still open (so no cleaning every X minutes), and only clean when I restart the browser, but that's no longer possible now...
This works great that it automatically clears everything like as excepted. It works every certain minutes that you want it to be clear and it does when u don't have. 5 stars way to go!

It's been a few weeks now and the history does not clear on startup anymore. The timer still works though. (Using it on Opera GX)

I just tried half a dozen extensions that claim to auto clear history between sessions, but this is the first one that worked. No hassles at all. You can even set it to periodically clear the history of an existing session. If you're looking to lock down your privacy, look no further.
