This extension is for anyone, who uses websites with pop-up ads (ads that open in a new tab).
red icon -> TabBlock prevents opening any new tab.
green icon -> TabBlock allows opening new tabs freely.
Note! Redirections to ads in the same tab still work! You can try to block them by using other extensions or simply return with "back" button.
TabBlock does not block any normal ads.
Manifest v3 Update: The new approach in Manifest v3 prevents extensions from running in the background all the time, leading to a cold start that can significantly increase the time needed to close a new tab. However, this is purely a cosmetic downgrade - TabBlock now filters out all requests to new tabs instantly, in addition to its ability to close tabs.

perfect, exactly what I was looking for
its not perfect, good for sites that has site scripts that auto opens a new tab for ads, but it totally disables right click > new tab
wish it would only work for specific sites. like ebay
easy light and functioning :) one recommendation for the devoloper this is extension should have setting to work for a specific website not all the browser

Works great so far, can turn on and off, I use for certain websites with lots of ads that open in new tabs and windows. 5/5
This extension hurts much more than it helps. Yes it works but no it kills all the tabs from all of your current tabs, making Chrome Tabbing system completely useless. There are no settings (simple on/off won't suffice) and ad-tabbing sites are far more less than legitimate inline ad (no tab creation) sites but this extension is indiscriminate against all. So use it at your own risk and annoyance only if you couldn't find any better.
