Doesn't work for me... Maybe I have too many tabs? (over 400) All I get is a little drop down from the icon (about the same size as the icon) that looks like the upper left corner of what is supposed to be the tab list. CPU revs for several minutes and then quiets, but nothing is generated.... Not functional for me; sad face :(.

Tab Tag Tree got recent updates that I was waiting for (Surflow now). it almost replaced the browser vertical tabs. The tagging system is great. Changed how i navigate between projects and now i can find tickets much easier at work. I still see room for improvement, especially: - add normal groups, sometimes i just want to group tabs as i do in the browser. - group or tag by domain? - Also add some how a way to automatically apply tags from parents. when i create new tabs every new tabs become a child of the one above and it requires manually to be moved back up. so i'd like a way to control what tab is the "root" to avoid this extra work if possible

Tab Tag Tree is so close to what I'm looking for but just far away enough to not adopt quite yet. The concept of tagging tabs is fantastic, I've been trying to find something like it since seeing Nyxt, I love it! I'm also impressed by the overall design, the fluid interface is much better than similar hierarchical tab extensions and hierarchical tags are wonderful! There are, however, a few issues and missing features. First, it does not seem to play well with Vivaldi, any time I click a tab for some reason Vivaldi's interface gets maximized before getting scaled back down properly by my window manager, this is quite jarring but obviously, it's difficult to support every browser. Second, unless I'm missing settings somewhere it doesn't appear that this extension has a light mode to match my UI the vast majority of the time. Those are the two big ones, I'd also love to see more keyboard shortcuts for navigating between, selecting and moving tabs around the hierarchy, being able to select multiple tags would also be beneficial. Tags make workspaces less necessary but they would still be nice, as would tab groups. I'm not sure Chromium allows for APIs that other extensions can call the way Firefox does but being able to manipulate Tab Tag Tree from Surfingkeys or Vivaldi's Quick Commands would be awesome. Lastly, it's very minor annoyance but it would be nice if most of the TTT window wouldn't scroll horizontally. For someone with less specific preferences who just want power features like tagging and hierarchical tabs this extension is wonderful, I highly recommend checking out. For me, it's not quite there yet but I'll be watching for updates and hoping some of the things I mentioned get consideration and implementation.

4.5/5 - So far, I am liking the over-all setup of the tree tabs. The tags are a nice touch with being able to filter for each tag, as is the search bar. But if I was to make any recommendations it would be: 1) More options on how the tabs look would be nice. Example, Light Mode, Dark Mode, Font Size, Background Color, Tab look (square corners, rounded corners, etc.) 2) Allowing the Tree to be on either the left or right side of the browser. I use a tree tab in Firefox and I have it set to the left side, so I am use to that and would like to be able to have Chrome be the same way. If there is currently a way to move it to the left, I have not found it. Update, found you can do this by changing the Chrome Side Panel setting. 3) Auto-Sorting Tabs by different criteria. ie, Name, Time, etc. 4) Being about to sort tags by name/color. If I get a lot of tags, it may take me a while to find what I am looking for if I can't have some type of sorting ability for them. Currently it seems like they are just listed in the order they are created in. Addition: Lately I have been having issues where I will organize my tabs the way I want them, and they will reset, removing both their position within the list and the tags.
