GPT-Shield – Real-Time AI Security & Data Protection

GPT-Shield is an enterprise-grade AI security extension that helps prevent sensitive data, intellectual property, and high-risk business context from being sent to AI tools. It works directly inside ChatGPT and other AI interfaces to reduce data leakage and unsafe prompt submissions in real time.

Important: GPT-Shield requires an active GPT-Shield license and the GPT-Shield Desktop Agent (installed separately).

If the desktop agent is not running, the extension will display a setup status screen only.

As AI becomes embedded in everyday work, organizations face the growing risk of Shadow AI — the uncontrolled use of AI that bypasses security, compliance, and governance safeguards. GPT-Shield is designed to help organizations mitigate this risk at the moment prompts are created.
