This extension unlocks 1080p playback for Netflix and add other quality of life improvements as well. It was originally developed by truedread, but the original project has not been maintained for a while, so I forked the project and released this new version.
*** Features ***
- Play movies in 1080p in Chrome. Depending on the DRM used by the title, this may not work, especially non-Netflix ones.
- Unlock 5.1 audio where available.
- Automatically switch to the highest available bitrate.
- Optionally disable use of the AV1, VP9 and AVChigh codec, which use lower bitrates and don't support hardware decoding on some platforms.

Finally an extension that really works, Thanks
Useful
Absolutely amazing! I am currently using Brave which is based on Chromium but not sure if Netflix has (DRM) restrictions, but was only playing at 720p max. After installing this extension and checking in Netflix (Ctrl + Alt + Shift + D) I can see the playback is 1080p - much appreciate.
