Kwel is a Chrome extension designed to automatically surface information in your browsing history that is worth intentionally keeping.

Browsing history is a raw log. It records everything, but it does not distinguish between noise and meaningful work. Kwel adds a value layer on top of your history.

Instead of listing pages in simple chronological order, Kwel analyzes signals such as repeat visits, recency, and intentional access (direct URL typing) to identify pages that are likely important to you. The goal is not to save everything, but to extract pages that represent ongoing thinking, research, or active work.

Core functionality:

• Value-Based Extraction Automatically identifies pages that show patterns of intentional and repeated use, surfacing them as candidates worth keeping.

• Hot Ranking Ranks pages based on behavioral signals so high-value pages rise to the top.
