I like Heptabase, but an extension that is literally 100% non-functional gets one star from me.
TL;DR I've used the Heptabase WEB CLIPPER since it was introduced experiencing minimal issues across Edge & Chrome, with/without ad blockers and security software running. Don't let whether the Web Clipper works well or not be your determining factor on Heptabase itself. It's pure genius for acquiring, assimilating, and organizing knowledge. I've tried Roam, Obsidian, Notion, and others. None compare to the power of Heptabase (and the clipper) for learning, research, content creation, running a business, increasing sales, winning new clients...and more. DETAILS: So, why write this review? Because recent comments on the clipper not working made me want to double check it. I found no issues. Since using Heptabase is equivalent to building a "second brain," I didn't want clipper negative reviews to make someone not take a look a serious look at Heptabase's true ability and power. I use Heptabase in my study of Christian theology, learning negotiation skills, writing content for LinkedIn, developing mind maps, transcribing YouTube videos, extracting salient learning points, and more. Most of the clipper negative reviews (as is often the case with negative reviews) are just quips: “doesn’t work,” "takes forever loading," "yeah doesn't work." They have no actionable detail. For example, one review said, "..........not..........working.........What's up with this extension? This is kind of a deal-breaker - too bad." Yes, it IS "too bad" if someone (even the writer of the review) misses out on the true power of Heptabase due to the impression of the Web Clipper extension. So, I ask, "What is it about the clipper that is not working?" Here is ACTIONABLE DETAIL: ANY https://www.msn.com/ article will NOT be captured by the Heptabase Web Clipper (or ANY clipper). MSN blocks their articles against clippers and other tools. One must scroll through and copy/paste anything from msn.com they want. In many cases, when an MSN.com article is long and/or there are a lot of ads and other garbage scattered throughout (often the case), I copy/paste the title of the article into my browser, search, and usually find it again on a non msn.com site. There, the Heptabase Web Clipper works. Today, I found an article on msn.com I wanted to clip into Heptabase. To confirm, it was indeed a "no go" on the Heptabase Web Clipper. I searched, found it on Axios and Reuters, tried the Web Clipper on both and, boom, success on both. Having used the Heptabase Web Clipper on Edge & Chrome, with and without ad blockers and security software running, I've found the extension consistently captures and cleans articles stripping out all of the clutter (ads, links to "other articles of interest," drama, etc.) and removes the boilerplate (menu bar, header, footer, etc.). No drama. What matters. 95% of the time: ~Clean, readable captures ~Reliable across browsers ~Fast once you learn the Heptabase flow ~A support team that actually responds (even one of the co-founders) Heptabase is a serious tool with real capability. Yes, there’s a learning curve. Not cheap. That’s the tradeoff for power. The Heptabase Web Clipper extension seriously adds to Heptabase's power, but working or not, don't let it be a deal breaker. In fact, try a generic web-clipping tool, then copy/paste the extraction onto a Heptabase card. But Heptabase itself...pure leverage and power. My biggest problem...I can go down so many rabbit holes on Heptabase that I lose track of time. The benefit...power learning, creative brand building content creation, and sales generating ideas and materials.

使用起來很方便。但是如果是使用Vivaldi瀏覽器，擴充套件的圖標會消失，原本的位置空著一塊，但是功能還是可以使用。 擷取 youtube 變成卡片，把它放到白板會顯示無法播放
Chrome上没有办法使用，不知道为什么不维护
Great save quality overall, but easier card title editing after clipping would really boost usability.
