If you're a power user of Chrome's basic bookmarks, then you're probably not very satisfied with the experience of saving bookmarks in Chrome.

This extension replaces Chrome's default Save Bookmark popup with a new popup experience that has modern, search-empowered features and a clean design. (Note: This extension does not work when using Google's newer Bookmark Manager extension.)

+ Start typing to smart-search for a folder instead of digging through a menu for it.

+ Choose from 3 recently-saved-to folders without searching for a folder at all.

+ Create and save to a new folder without needing to open a new popup.

+ Update the location or delete the bookmark if you've already saved the page.

If you still rely on Chrome’s built-in bookmarks but find the default “Save Bookmark” popup clunky and slow, Bookmark Pro is a small extension that fixes exactly that — with speed, better folder discovery, and a clean, modern UI. What I liked • Instant folder search — Start typing and Bookmark Pro smart-searches your bookmark folders as you type. No more endless scrolling through nested menus to find the right folder.  • One-tap recent folders — The three most-recent folders you’ve saved to appear up front. For power users who repeatedly file pages into a handful of places, that alone saves a ton of time.  • Create folders inline — You can create a new folder from the same popup without opening a separate dialog. It keeps the flow intact and removes friction from organizing while saving.  • Edit / delete in place — If a page is already bookmarked, Bookmark Pro lets you update its folder/location or delete it right from the popup. Handy for quickly tidying your library.  • Thoughtful UX & Material Design — The popup feels modern and polished, following Google’s Material Design language. It’s quick, readable, and attractive without being distracting.  • Helpful title behavior — If you’ve highlighted text on the page, Bookmark Pro intelligently prepends that quote to the bookmark title. A small detail that’s genuinely useful for later recall.  • Keyboard-friendly — The extension preserves the usual bookmarking flow (star icon, menu, or keyboard: Cmd+D on Mac / Ctrl+D elsewhere). Tab, Esc, and Enter behave as expected, so you never lose your muscle memory. Limitations / things to know • Doesn’t work with Google’s newer Bookmark Manager extension — Bookmark Pro only replaces the native Save Bookmark popup. If you prefer or already use Google’s newer Bookmark Manager, this extension won’t integrate with it.  • Minimal feature set by design — Bookmark Pro focuses on improving the save popup experience rather than becoming a full bookmark manager. If you need advanced tagging, syncing outside Chrome’s native bookmarks, or massively re-organizing large trees, you’ll still need a dedicated bookmark manager app. Who it’s for • Power users of Chrome’s native bookmarks who want a faster, smarter saving flow.  • People who frequently file pages into a few folders and want one-click access to recent destinations.  • Anyone who wants a cleaner, keyboard-friendly bookmarking popup without leaving Chrome’s native bookmark system. Very helpful for me. It allows me to quickly save tabs to specific folders and thus, to organize my bookmarks in "to-do" folders. Moreover, it has the ability to identify if the tab that I want to bookmark is already bookmarked (so I avoid creating duplicates). One suggestion for the developer, if I may, is this: once it shows me that a tab is already bookmarked and showing me the name of that folder, it would be useful to also show me The Path to that folder (for instance, while hovering over that title).

The best at what it does. If I can suggest something, an option to add a bookmark at the top of the folder would be great!
