Every tab you leave open is consuming memory — even ones you haven't touched in hours. On a typical workday with 20+ tabs open, Chrome can use 3–5GB of RAM just sitting there. TabFocus quietly suspends tabs you aren't using, slashing memory usage by up to 80%. The moment you click a suspended tab, it wakes up instantly — right where you left it.

HOW IT WORKS

TabFocus watches which tabs you're actively using. Any tab left untouched for your configured time (default: 30 minutes) is automatically suspended and replaced with a lightweight placeholder. Your tab stays in the tab bar, shows the correct title and favicon, and is one click away from being fully restored. You'll never lose a tab — it just sleeps until you need it.

WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT

Most tab managers ask you to manually save or close tabs. TabFocus does everything automatically in the background. You don't change how you work — you just open fewer Activity Monitor windows wondering why your Mac fan is screaming.
