I started looking at this Scenery & Weather New Tab extension because, by 2026, the default browser "New Tab" page has become a cluttered billboard of suggested articles, recently closed tabs, and notification badges. Sometimes, before you dive into a deep-work session, you just need a three-second visual reset. I really like that this tool doesn't try to be a full-blown productivity suite—it just gives you a beautiful view and tells you if you need an umbrella today.

Scenery tab used to be really cool until they started adding photos with people in them. I don't want to look at people, I want to see earth's scenery. I don't care about these peoples beach or mountain selfies.
