It's called Cookie Cleaner. It has a button to clean cookies. It does not clean all cookies. It literally doesn't do what it says on the tin.
Cookies werden laut Erweiterung gelöscht, im Browser sind alle Seiten inkl. Cookies aber weiterhin gelistet. Keine Ahnung welche Cookies die Erweiterung scheinbar löscht, es tut allerdings nicht was es soll.
First, the good stuff: >It has a whitelist capability. This is CRITICAL in a cookie cleaner. >The interface is extremely simple. >It does a reasonable job. But: > Like other cookie cleaning extensions, and for reasons I do not understand, while it does skip erasing my whitelisted sites, it still inexplicably leaves other cookies. I do not know why. After cleaning, it leaves about 20 or so cookies from sites which are NOT protected by my whitelist. I have to manually remove these using Google Chrome (chrome://settings/content/all) > It does not show it is working. If it's been a long time since you ran it, it might take several seconds - up to 10 seconds or more - to clean up - but there is no confirmation it's working in the background, such as a progress bar, spinning icon, etc.. I've learned to just wait because eventually, when it's done, the interface will show you the number of cookies it cleaned up. > It would be nice if you could sort or re-order the whitelist. It wouldn't make it any more effective, but it would be easier, if you have many whitelisted websites, to find a site to see if you had already put it in the whitelist.
The extension’s UI is quite basic, with a few noticeable issues: the "Manage Whitelist" button is not available, the domain input box is misaligned, and the auto-clean feature doesn’t existed. Even after clean, the changes aren’t visible in the browser’s cookie storage, the deletion counted also doesn't work. However, when it comes to the core functionality—clearing cookies and supporting a whitelist—it does work.
where are the extension settings to set auto cleanup?
I spent weeks trying to find a chrome extension for cleaning cookies while preserving whitelisted sites. At last, I have found it, and I love everything about the extension. It has very simple clear interface and it does the job. I did not figure out how to setup Auto-Clean Mode.
My two main goals are the whitelist to keep cookies I need and running automatically, such as each time I start the browser or every x hours to remove the ones I don't. This says it hits both of those, but I don't see any obvious way to schedule it so I's giving it 3 stars for now. If anyone is aware of how to schedule it to delete unwanted cookies automatically, I'll revise the review.
