This is a simple extension to make searching for US patents based on the patent or application number more efficient. Instead of navigating to a site that hosts the patent/application (such as the USPTO site or Google Patents), you can merely enter "gps" into the omnibox, hit tab or space, and put in the patent/publication number. The extension strips out non-numeric characters and redirects you to the Google Patents page for the patent/application.
