In 2006 when I began my BS degree, PERRLA was my life saver for all things APA formatting! In 2010 when I earned my masters, PERRLA was still my lifeline to all my research papers, especially in-text and references elements. In 2025 when I earned my PhD, I had over 35 pages of references in my dissertation, all owing to PERRLA's time saving and formatting elements! I recommend PERRLA to every student that I encounter. Perrla has honestly been a lifesaver for APA and MLA formatting. It takes care of all the little rules that are easy to mess up, like margins, headings, and reference pages, so I don’t have to stress about them. Citations are way easier with Perrla too. It walks you through in-text citations and references step by step, which saves so much time and helps make sure everything is actually correct. I feel a lot more confident turning in papers knowing the formatting isn’t going to cost me points. If formatting and citations stress you out, Perrla makes it simple and way less overwhelming.
