Já vem com vários motores de busca organizados por categorias e permite adicionar personalizados. Aí é só digitar o termo de busca 1 vez e ao clicar nos motores de busca, abre as pesquisas - com o mesmo termo - em novas abas em 2o plano sem sair da extensão. Tem vários temas. Só falta 1 opção de backup das configurações.

cool extension. but I could not find a way to open search results for a given term in all the engines in multiple tabs like the instant multi searh extension does. For example I want to create 20 custom searches under user defined engines and want to open 20 tabs instantly. Any way to do this?
