This Scanner's objectives are sound, however, there are Edge Browser responsiveness 'hits' to performance which are noticeable. When opening new tabs that bring up a search engine, such as the Google search page or the default page, the edge browser will appear to freeze for up to a few seconds. Proof: use the extension disable slider and open a new page; compare to enabled. This is likely due to the background processing that this extension is performing (while on "all sites" setting). Additionally, the extension puts the purple reporting text over important parts of some pages, but for the most part, the Feroot shield icon and the overlaid Text leads to interesting and important information about data access. I hope to see this extension adopted by a wider audience.
This plugin exposes trackers, pixels, and scripts on the webpages you visit - pretty insightful (and spooky)!
I'm equally impressed by this extension as I am concerned about what it's revealing about my data being captured and leaked. Wow.
Pretty crazy to get visibility into what's being shared and to whom... even when you have an adblock on
Feroot is very effective and easy to use. Shocking how many trusted websites have data leakage or are inappropriately capturing data.
