User right-clicks on a page or selected text to save/embed content. 5. Extension sends content via /browser-extension/upload-content or /browser-extension/embed-content endpoints. 6. Badge notification confirms success or failure.

Without these credentials stored in chrome.storage.sync, the extension removes all context menus and cannot perform any operations. The API key is obtained from a user's own AnythingLLM instance (self-hosted or desktop client). All API calls use Bearer token authentication.
