I strongly advise caution before installing the Dokkio extension. My experience suggests significant vulnerabilities and a lack of transparent security practices. 1. Unauthorized Activity & Privacy Breach After approving permissions, the application appears to analyze personal data and initiate outbound communications without explicit user consent. I have received direct complaints from Slack colleagues regarding "weird" messages sent on my behalf that I never authorized or triggered. This behavior is a massive red flag for any tool managing sensitive cloud file access. 2. Obsolete Security Documentation The Security Whitepaper linked in their official documentation is severely outdated, last updated in November 2020. For a cloud service that requests full access to Google Drive, Dropbox, and Slack, relying on five-year-old security claims is unprofessional and dangerous: https://statics.dokkio.com/onboarding/security_whitepaper.pdf 3. Poor Transparency When I reached out to their representative to ask why they are still publishing such suspicious and outdated documentation, the communication was abruptly cut off. As soon as I pressed for details on their current security posture, they stopped responding entirely. Bottom Line: A company that handles your most private files but refuses to maintain updated security docs or explain unauthorized messaging is not a company you can trust. Avoid until they provide a verified, modern security audit.
Best app for Research and productivity
The extension is a solid connector to Dokkio itself. Also, since most of us have separate bookmarks and folder trees that are similar but frustratingly independent, it offers a quick way to tag websites and browser-accessed files (quicker than selecting a destination folder). I'm hoping to stop using Chrome bookmarks so I can finally keep browser-based information under one roof.
It would be really great if it didn't force you to connect accounts, and actually had Notion.

Dokkio Sidebar is super helpful! It helps me find the files and information I need right away. Setting it up was quick and easy. Would recommend to person or team who is looking for easy file organization and version control.

In a world where files are scattered all around different apps and workspaces, the Dokkio sidebar allows you to see all your most recent files from all applications in real time making it much easier for you to link to and find!
I love Dokkio because it saves me time and bother. Before Dokkio I'd often waste time seeking and organizing key files and documents spread over different clouds. Now Dokkio does all that for me in a click! And if you're a regular Google Chrome, Google Drive and Gmail user, it makes absolute sense to install the Dokkio Google Crime sidebar.
It solves such a real world problem of not being able to find files that I never can find.
