This extension strips the Strict-Transport-Security header from responses delivered from Localhost web servers. This helps web developers who need to build and test HTTP and HTTPS sites that are served from the same local PC. Without this extension, a Strict-Transport-Security header (HSTS) returned from a HTTPS site will also force-upgrade the HTTP site's requests to HTTPS.
