**IMPORTANT: San Diego, CA passed the "Grocery Pricing Transparency Ordinance" which took effect on October 1, 2025. So anyone who uses this chrome extension for cities with similar laws - it will not work. This has nothing to do with the extension software, but the companies themselves are not allowed to have digital-only coupons.
Absolutely NO user data is saved in any database by the developer.

This makes grocery shopping so much more enjoyable not having to scan and clip! Love the new update too!
Thank you so much for taking the time to build such a clean and intuitive app. I was struggling at Safeway yesterday and was going to write a mass coupon clipper but decided to search to see if it already existed. Sure enough, it does, and it does it perfectly! The only thing that might be cool to add would be a running total of coupons the coupon clipper has clipped for me.... would really show the benefit of the Coupon Clipper and the level of nonsensicalness that is virtual coupons. Looking through the other comments a "Turtle Mode" could also be handy where, when enabled, coupons are clipped every x (user defined?) seconds. Sometimes I'm not in a rush and I wouldn't mind if a coupon was clicked every 4 seconds which would hopefully fix any sense of rate limiting. Anyways, awesome job with this. Thank you!
You absolutely rock for building this AND not charging for it. We all want transparent and equitable grocery pricing, and this tool is a big part of that fight. Thank you.
Does what it says it does. Not sure if this is b/c of this extension or not, but I feel like I get rate-limited from Safeway after I use it. Regular website/mobile app queries seem to take an inordinately long time to load for a week or so after I use the app. Any thoughts on that, Michael?
Great extension. Makes is really easy to clip all of the Safeway deals. Thanks!
Working as of March 24, 2026 on Safeway.com. Thank you, Michael!
Hi Michael. I used to love this extension, but it is no longer working for me, similar to others below. I get 0/0 clipped. I'm using the Safeway website on Chrome. I hope you can get it working again - it's a huge time and money saver. Thank you! -- 11/18/25 update: It worked for me today! Thank you!! Great extension!
I'm in southern Washington and having the same 0/0 issues even though when I ask it for a count it sees I have 22 to be clipped. I run the clipping and it says 0/0 and they are not clipped. I'm on 1.4.4. and on Chrome 141.0.7390.123. Great extension and I'm hoping it works again. Update 10/13/2025: Hey Gregory, I just found out about the San Diego Grocery Pricing Transparency Ordinance which took effect on 10/1/25 and bans grocery stores from having digital-only coupons. This may be what is causing the issues you are experiencing and not the chrome extension as I have had several other users confirm with me that it is still working for them. Update 10/16/2025: Thanks for your updated feedback! FYI, I've made one more update in version 1.4.4 which may have fixed the 0/0 issue you were seeing.
(update 11/8/2025; It broke in v1.4.5 again. After correspondence with the author and sending console log entries he released v 1.4.6 which fixes the issue. Super responsive quick fix. I'm impressed! Update 3/18/2026: I use this weekly to clip new coupons. Still loving it.) (Great app and great support; Discussion below is about an outage on the week of Oct 8 2025 which was fully resolved within a week of reporting about it) ~~ As Ken noted this is currently broken. It worked for me last week but is showing Couponed Clipped 0/0 even though there are coupons to clip (and the 'count available' button reports how many there are) and eventually finishes reporting 0 coupons clipped. (In my case this is for Andronicos and Safeway on both a preexisting install and on a fresh install) (Similarly, will change to 5 stars when fixed) (Update 10/15/2025 Was not working for Andronicos but *did* working for Safeway. I was not able to test Andonicos again after trying Safeway since it looks like clipping from Safeway managed to get all of the coupons that Andronicos had (which is not always the case); I am on v1.4.3 and have no connection to San Diego (though I am in California))
Used to work great for Vons. Now it says Coupon Clipped: 0/0 even though i see all the coupons still that need to be clipped. Eventually it finishes and it says 0 coupons clipped. Will change to 5 stars when fixed
