Product summary

Review the store description, core capabilities, and common use cases.

The Kainos HL7 Editor Companion detects and captures HL7 v2 messages on any webpage and optionally pairs with the Kainos HL7 Editor desktop app for full parsing, editing, field-level validation, and transformation — entirely on your device.

**Standalone mode — no desktop app needed:**

Click the popup and hit "Capture from clipboard" to extract HL7 messages instantly. A lightweight detector content script runs passively on pages to recognize HL7 v2 content as you browse. Use the right-click context menu to send any selected text directly to the editor.

**Optional desktop pairing:**

When the Kainos HL7 Editor desktop app is running, the extension connects via a secure WebSocket bridge at ws://localhost only. Captured messages open in the full editor for segment-level parsing, field editing, and export. A one-time trust dialog (TOFU pairing) lets you confirm the connection before it is established.

**Privacy-first design for healthcare:**
