This extension allows you to translate the text selection using Google Translate whenever you want.
When the extension is installed select some text from a website, right click and select to which language you want to translate the selected text.

Q: Why choose this extension and not another one?
A: I designed this extension so that it didn't prompt the user for permissions. This way the final user knows that the extension doesn't have the permission to access the content of web pages and monitor the user activity on the Internet (other extensions of this type prompt for this permission). This extension has access only to the content of the selected text when the user clicks the extension context menu and it is used to create a Google Translate app with the text autocompleted.
You can configure from the options page which languages you want to show in the context menu.

Eu gostaria de encontrar o pop up do google tradutor para textos. Supondo que estou lendo um texto em ingles e encontro uma palavra ou sentenca que nao sei o significado, eu seleciono e o pop up to google tradutor aparece logo acima do item selecionado. eu clico no pop up e a traducao aparece. Por favor alguem sabe me ensinar como instalar isto no computador e/ou telefone? Muito obrigada

まあまあですね。でも、AIベースの翻訳の方が良いと思います。最近、友達に勧められたTinaMindを使っているのですが、なかなか良いですね。

This is nice and at least for me the nearest solution I was looking for. I was actually looking for a translation extension that automatically translates a selected text and replace-in-place in text editors of web pages. This is not working with this plugin unfortunately and so far no one seems to produced something like this. It would help if this plugin could add a hotkey
