Could you add a new feature to prevent separating the Split View when open a new tab? It happens when you set to place newly created tab Right/Left next to the current tab and create one in Split View when focusing on the left/right tab in Split View. It's 100% replicatiable. Great extension, as a replacement for the abusive removal of SimpleTabOrder and many other useful extensions by shameless Google. Suggestion: add simple new tab focus to this, so that new tabs open in foregrround. This would make it complete, and avoid the need of installing a 2nd extension like Tab Activate V2 for that.
I've tried many similar extensions, but most fail when using dual monitors or multiple windows (tab index often gets messed up). This extension handles multi-window setups perfectly. New tabs always open exactly where I want them, regardless of which screen I'm on. 5 stars!
Incredibly simple and powerful! Excellent options that should be bundled with Chrome.
The only extension that actually focuses on last tab on close in proper order! Thank you! upd: Last active tab stopped working since v.146, behaves like Chrome's default :(

Very simple extension that does exactly what it's supposed to. I use it as a replacement for SimpleTabOrder (which doesn't work anymore for some reason).
I found this as a replacement for SimpleTabOrder which I used for many many years but Google disabled it. I want new tabs to open next to the active tab!! That is how I navigate between the several hundred tabs that are open. I don't understand why it is so hard to build this function into a browser. And I can find any tab using Tabli or Peek-a-Tab with search function.
