Excellent. Easier to use than the official Wayback Machine extension.
Thank you! It’s working perfectly for me again after those previous issues with Chromium and archive.today. And it’s good to know what the real underlying problem was. I hope you can sort them out in the future, but I really appreciate this extension. A small suggestion: I use several browsers for different reasons. Would it be possible to add an option so that a tab with the updates doesn’t open automatically? I love the app is being updated, and sometimes I even read the log, but for those of us who use several browsers it might not be very convenient seeing that webpage open many times, and adding an opt-out option to not open automatically (unmarked by default) probably wouldn’t take too much effort (I hope). It'd be nicer if you could also include a link to the updates log web in the very options window. Anyway, thank your free work and also for responding to our many requests.
Not working today 25 March 2026 EDIT: The Archive Today website has stopped working for me at all now.
Useful extension for those who usually use archive.today. But in the updates since February, the default menu that appears when you right click a link now shows "search link" instead of "archive link," which I'm not used to. Is there any way to change this other than using an older version (which is what I do in Firefox)? It allows to use different Archive domains, not only archive.today (recommended), but archive.is, archive.ph, archive.md, archive.vn, archive.li, and archive.fo. Very useful.
Does what it has to do: very quick acces to archive today.
This used to be a good extension but is now broken. I just see the checkbox to confirm "I'm not a robot" but it just keeps reappering. This is poor poor software design and needs fixing.
Reading your documentation, I understand why this permission is required: "Read and change all your data on all web sites" Is there anything you can share that will reassure us users that only necessary data is being shared, and your addon is not doing bad things? Amazing extension and sincerely appreciate it. Edit: I checked out your code on github - thanks for open sourcing it! Looks great. Thanks for the response.
Was good but broken as of past couple of months. Not related to Google's changes, just cannot get past Grant Access screen on Android with Kiwi Browser, even when access has been granted in settings. Click the button does nothing.
Used to be perfect. Now it keeps reverting to a menu when I click vs what I want which is just archiving with a left click. Fixing this by changing the options to fix is annoying. I never want search, just archive with left click
Had been working perfectly for a long time, now it suddenly triggers Chrome to ask permission for it to read and edit ALL data on ALL websites! Very suspicious!
