Blocks unwanted media autoplay on websites, with per-site permission control.
## Note
This extension is compatible with all Chromium based browsers such as: Brave, Chrome, Edge, Opera, Vivaldi, etc.
Some browsers such as such as [Brave](https://brave.com), [Edge](https://www.microsoft.com/edge), [Vivaldi](https://vivaldi.com), or [Firefox](https://www.firefox.com) already have proper browser based autoplay blocking support. Just enable the browser's built-in autoplay blocking feature in the settings.

Doing great job
It works great! for stopping the idiotic youtube autoplay. Say I have a tab group or re open a chrome window (where it left off) that had a bunch of youtube videos / tabs open (yes I'm a "middle click" open a ton of tabs user). Well the most stupid thing is those videos start buffering and playing automatically as soon as you click the tab - and I don't want that, I can decide at a glance whether or not I want to close that tab or not. Do the google ui/ux yt devs live behind the terminal only!? So in short all to the people complaining here, I can vouch (as of right now) this is the fix for that most annoying problem mentioned above - and a perfect replacement for the previous OG "AutoplayStopper" extension google blocked. Hopefully the dev for this plugin doesn't get discouraged by all the cry babies here that don't appreciate its intended use!

Does not prevent floating video at yahoo finance.
It doesn't work with Instagram or YouTube on macOS. I didn't even try it with other social media platforms. A complete failure of an extension.

Utter rubbish - does not stop auto play of video on any of the sites I have issues with. Does not work!
