wow much good 😜
I've been playing colonist.io recently but at times I have had trouble tracking resources especially when a lot of turns/activity is happening really fast. I was curious about this extension so I figured I would give it a try playing in a non-competitive match. There definitely needs to be some tweaking with respect to unknown cards when it's a clearly trackable transaction normally. When rolls are firing off, none of that should show as untrackable nor should known steals. For example, if your opponent only has 1 card and you know what it is in the tracker it should carry over similar to known things like mentioned below where if somebody steals from you, then you know what they got...it's not unknown. It should be able to narrow things down with condfidence based on card usage, resource usage activity, etc. etc. I just don't think that portion of the extension is as robust as it certainly could be. Now if the actual player resource tracking gets solidified where you can almost completely track resources minus a few unknowns such as an opponent steals from another opponent, but it's only unknown till you can deduce what it was by their activity. Say they had 1 wood, 1 sheep, 1 wheat, and say 1 ore...they place a robber and get one resource. Intially it totally makes sense you have no idea what they stole; but if they placed a settlement or a road, for example, then you knew the resource was a brick. That's the kind of logic that this is really missing. It's not really usable in it's current state where half of the cards are unknown. However, if you can nail out all that kind of logic/reasoning where practically no cards are unknown during the game, then you my friend would have a popular catan extension on your hand. I'll give it 3 stars in it's current state. Looks good, I love the concept, and what it's intentions are. However, like I said previously, in it's current state it's unusable. Once you get to the point where it's tracking accurately better than what most people can do, then it's a 5 star app for sure.
It's a cool extension, but needs some tweaks for 1v1. The tool often shows unknown cards after I get robbed and then suddenly most of the card tracking fails. This shouldn't happen, because the resource stolen is trackable. Also - I'd eliminate tracking VP's in the tool. It's not something that can be determined until the game ends. Otherwise it's a great starting point
Dude this is amazing! I was going to make one but I got far too lazy and started working on my own other projects. One thing i would like to see is more customization and i would also love to talk to you and learn about how you made this. Four stars for now but as soon as i can change where stuff shows (instead of a black box) it will be 5 stars easily!
nice
