AaRead is a reading helper for your eyes and brain. It makes some letters extra bold to make reading fast and keep effort low. This is a free alternative to Bionic Reading and Open Dyslexic font, and is great for folks with ADHD, dyslexia, or anyone whose brain gets bored easily when reading.
AaRead helps you stay focused on what you’re reading, and it’s way easier on your eyes too! Wanna try it on your favorite website? Simply click the extension icon or use the quick shortcut (Ctrl/Cmd + 0), and reading Reddit, Twitter, your study materials, news, or anything else should feel much better :)
My goal is to make this extension awesome for everyone, so please share your ideas or just let me know how much you love it (if you do, of course...).
Enjoy your reading! :)

It works great but i cant figure out how to turn it on automatically in every web page, i have to click the extension on every web page i visit.
Holy cow it actually works. Thanks so much for making it so simple to use, and not having it require any subscriptions etc.. like I have seen others ask for 😭
nice! but ctrl/command 0 doesn't work on my mac book pro chrome
Great. Just wish it would work on my pdf too
Great Web App. This has really increased my focus while reading. It seems really well programmed and easy to use. No pay walls, or annoying popups. The web app may not work on some sights, but is not something that can be worked around easily, and if you are a commoner, you prolly wont encounter it. Developer responds very fast to email. I got a response in like 2 hours of sending mail.
I tested this and it seems to work well but when I click "ON" it applies to Bionic reading to every tab i have opened. there should be an option to apply it to every tab or for a specific tab, if that makes sense
Incredibly useful extension, thanks. Could you add support to make it only valid for specify language? I don't want the extension valid for East Asian languages.
How about adding an option of "auto enable"? I find everytime I open a new window, I have to click the extension icon which is boring.
Thanks for the plugin! It's been really helpful. However, I've noticed it doesn't seem to work on some websites, like GitHub and ChatGPT. I get a "DIED" message below the plugin icon. Is there something I'm doing wrong?
