This extension is an adaptation of some userscripts that restore Gmail's "Right Side Chat" layout for anyone who misses it, and perhaps despises the new layout with that unnecessary sidebar column to select Chat vs Email. This also allows your apps rail to be horizontal instead of vertical so you can see it better. In the future I plan to make the app rail in a drag and organize box with the apps opening in chat type modules so you can have more than one open at a time.
