Untrustworthy Extension for Merch on demand seller This extension was formerly known as Merchrex but was recently rebranded to MerchMetrix. I have also come across claims from users alleging that the developer engaged in suspicious activities, including hacking the extension and changing its name. As Merch by Amazon sellers, we rely on trustworthy and secure tools to safeguard our data and accounts. Any indication of questionable behavior or lack of transparency is a serious red flag. Because of these concerns, I have unsubscribe and uninstall the extension from my browser. In this business, we cannot afford to take risks with tools we no longer fully trust.

I’ve been using the Chrome extension previously known as Merchrex to support my work as a Merch by Amazon seller. Recently, I noticed the tool has been rebranded as MerchMetrix without any clear announcement or explanation to its users. This sudden change has raised significant concerns within the Merch community, especially as discussions have emerged suggesting possible misuse of data or unethical behavior behind the scenes. The lack of transparency around the rebranding, combined with growing community concerns, has made it difficult to continue trusting the tool. As Merch sellers, we rely heavily on accurate, secure tools and any hint of suspicious activity is a serious red flag. Out of caution and concern for the safety of my account and data, I have removed the extension from my browser. I encourage other sellers to stay informed and vigilant. Until the developers provide full clarity and address the community’s concerns directly, I cannot recommend this tool.
