Hide your geographic location from websites.
Modern browsers such as Google Chrome can tell websites where you're located in order to provide location-aware functionality. Your geographic location obtained via JavaScript is often highly accurate, which can be a violation of your privacy.
This extension allows enjoying geolocation applications while protecting your privacy, by reporting a fake location to websites, after adding a certain amount of "noise" to the real one. The noise is randomly selected in a way that protects the real location from being accurately inferred. There's also an option to use a fixed location, instead of adding noise to the real one.
IMPORTANT: Location Guard protects against JavaScript-based geolocation (which has very high accuracy), NOT IP-based geolocation (which typically has low accuracy). If a website detects your coarse location from your IP address, then use a VPN, Location Guard is not meant to solve this problem.

This extension is a fabulous fix for a vexing, terrible problem with Google's faulty geolocation database. While all the major geolocation services correctly locate my IP address, Google's own geolocation service gets it completely wrong, 400 miles away, presumably due to network hub locations. Setting default location in Windows does not fix it, and I tried many, many fixes found on the web with none working. While this extension is nominally designed to obfuscate locations for privacy, I'm using it to give accurate location data to Chrome and Google Maps using it's fixed location option. FINALLY I get search and shopping results that are locally relevant! Bless the developers of this extremely useful extension!

Actually really well made, and allows me to set my location anywhere for apps that need a specific percise location to work.
Literally the only GeoLocation Spoof you need. I've been using it for almost a year now and never ran into any issues at all. At first it was hard to understand, for example if you want to say you're in China or something, however it's simply "Fixed Location" on "Options", then obviously choose where you want to be inside of Fixed Location.
