Product summary

Review the store description, core capabilities, and common use cases.

SparkVault Risk Impact Evaluator is a professional-grade browser extension designed to help users understand the real security impact of the extensions installed in their browser. Instead of simply listing permissions, it analyzes how powerful those permissions are, how they interact, and how much damage an extension could realistically cause if it were compromised or turned malicious. The goal is to make extension risk understandable, measurable, and comparable at a glance, without requiring deep security expertise.

The extension scans all installed browser extensions and calculates a clear Risk Impact Score for each one on a 0–100 scale. This score represents potential attack surface and capability, not intent. A higher score means an extension has broader access to sensitive browser features, user data, or system-level controls, and therefore could cause more harm if abused. A lower score indicates limited access and reduced exposure. The scoring system is consistent across all extensions so results can be compared reliably.

SparkVault Risk Impact Evaluator uses an advanced multi-factor risk model rather than simple averages. Each permission is weighted by severity, ensuring that high-impact permissions such as script injection, network interception, history access, or proxy control meaningfully influence the final score. The system also applies worst-case escalation rules so that a single very dangerous permission cannot be diluted by many low-risk ones. In addition, the total number of permissions is factored in to reflect growing attack surface as complexity increases. Final scores are normalized so visual risk levels and numeric values always agree.

Host permissions are evaluated separately and with special care. Broad host access patterns, wildcard domains, and global site access are treated as significantly more impactful than narrowly scoped domains. This makes it easy to see when an extension has the ability to interact with many sites versus only a specific one. When combined with powerful capabilities such as script execution or network control, these risks are clearly reflected in the final score.

The interface is designed for clarity and speed. Extensions are automatically ranked by risk, making the most impactful ones visible immediately. Users can switch between list view, grid view, and a dedicated risk graph that visualizes permission severity across the ecosystem. Each extension card shows its score, risk level, permission count, and current enabled state, with the option to expand detailed breakdowns explaining exactly how the score was calculated.

For users who want deeper insight, SparkVault Risk Impact Evaluator provides full transparency into the scoring process. Every permission is labeled with its individual impact level and description, and the risk breakdown shows weighted values, escalation floors, and count multipliers. Unknown or uncommon permissions are handled safely and clearly identified, ensuring results remain accurate even as new permissions appear over time.
