UPDATE: It occurred to me after submitting this review that I might have overlooked an easy solution using wildcards to fix my problem with the default behavior, ala: https://*,http://* I was confident this would work and was therefore already planning on updating my review accordingly and bumping the rating to 4 stars. However, much to my dismay, using wildcards in this way did not work. So instead of increasing it I have dock another star. That said, I'll still update to 5 stars if you can implement any of the proposed changes mentioned above. Original Review: I'll start with the good: there's a lot of potential for this to be the best replacement for the GOAT dupe tab blocking extension, "Prevent Duplicate Tabs," which met its unceremonious end in the same way many other excellent extensions did, needlessly at the hands of Manifest v3 / Google's unabashedly self-serving deprecation of Mv2. Moving on to the bad: If it weren't newly released or I didn't think it was likely to improve, I would've rated it just 1 star for a simple but staggeringly poor choice regarding default behavior - at present, the extension does absolutely nothing out of the box / upon install, i.e., users must allowlist EVERY SINGLE SITE that they want the extension to take effect on. Without getting into the weeds, talking about the outrageous number of websites that cumulatively make up the internet, I'll just say that I strongly believe that nearly all users would much prefer the exact opposite behavior, i.e., the extension working on all sites out of the gate and then blocklisting the occasional site on which they don't want it to act. considering the inordinate amount of time and clicks involved with the current default vs the exact opposite behavior, it's hard to imagine why this wasn't implemented from day 1. Of course, it's possible I'm failing to account for something and the current behavior could have more merit than I'm seeing but if so and you feel equally strongly about it being more practical, could you perhaps provide a toggle within the extension's settings so users from the other camp can painlessly switch to match their preference? Either approach, i.e., making it the default or a user configurable option (or alternatively, explaining where I'm going wrong) will earn your extension 5 stars and you'll also get my undying appreciation as a bonus (not to mention the potential for many more (appreciative) users if I'm right)
