Small text on a screen of device takes less pixels than larger text, causing loss of clarity and definition of text. If this small text is enlarged, the page and website becomes easily readable (especially for far-sight condition of eyes).
This extension enlarges text and makes text colors a contrasting black / white color and a few subroutines.
Text contrast can be increased by the 'Strength' slider, with high positive values making text more black / white and negative values keeping text color unchanged.
The strength slider also determines the Zoom %, with default zero strength giving 175% (1.75) zoom value.
The text size is increased inversely depending on its size. This means small sized text is made much bigger than larger text, which is slightly increased in size. All text within size of Threshold setting is increased in size with text closer to Font Threshold size increasing less than text much lower size than Threshold, depending of Font Increase % setting.
Text size of ANY TEXT IS NOT DECREASED (unless '--g_smaller_text' is enabled) to less than its normal size. Smaller text becomes as large as (or larger than) text of Threshold size. Text near the Threshold size is unchanged or changed very slightly.

Extension that lets the user change the font text size, font type, font color and background color on a page.
For a while this was the extension of all my dreams - now....almost there. It is an enormous gift to those with low vision who need to adjust font sizing and more importantly, to adjust density of the fonts. The reason I took off a star, and would have taken off a half if I could have, is that it doesn't seem to be able to honor blacklisted sites. I spent several hours on Chrome turning off all my extensions and then turning them on one by one. I found that to test accurately I also had to clear cookies but I was able to find the "culprit". Sadly it is this extension - confirmed on two sites out of a much larger number. One is a very large brokerage house and the other seemed to be the Washington Post which placed a cookie and I then had no more difficulty. I added several forms of url to blacklist for the brokerage but it continually refuses to sign me in. I also made sure the brokerage urls weren't whitelisted and they weren't. There is an option to only use this extension on sites I've whitelisted but that severely impedes progress since I'm always going to new sites. There is also a "click" option and I'm unclear as to what that means. Kudos to the developer for such a thorough and thoughtful venture. Can you suggest what I might be missing or have set incorrectly? Thanks so much for your work.
Very useful app. Take time to read the author's "how to use" as the interface is clear but not as simple as the standard fare out there. The "apply css for custom site" is really useful for sites with styling embedded in various selector classes, so you can avoid a global change. With that said, its too geeky for most people as you will have to inspect the element to get the css class or ID and then apply it. It does work, however. Perhaps a text color slider for global change in the future? Thank you.
Good extension. Do not affect photos or video. Google has an extension, HIgh Contrast, but the video and photo was affected. This not. I recommended. Problem: when open a web page, the extension make your effect 2 to 3 seconds later.
It's new. It is a better starting point then several other such extensions for chrome. I have several use cases some of which I was able to improve readability. The author has established a solid technical base for future development. The overview describes this extension most completely. Looking forward if the authors make a free Google Groups discussion EMail list and respond to it, users will be very active with not only questions but will feedback suggestions and improvement ideas. Once installed ensure the extension's icon is made visible. Clicking the icon give access to quickly changeable settings. The "All Settings" button gives access to the extension's settings with a '?' with a short explanation of what a setting is doing. Some explanations need a more extensive explanations for readers who aren't so technical. An example is "Hue" which I don't know what that is. Some settings interact with each other and effect other settings results. This extension for myself is a keeper. I will keep it installed in my Chrome browser. --JSW Reply 1 the BTV icon in the lower left hand corner of the BTV popup does display an extensive document explaining the extension's features. I would change the icon's text to "Help". I'll explain why I need this extension at a later time.
Super
Activated on all websites inspite of deselecting the option, cannot change font weight, default option generally ruins the website layout a little bit, uninstalling because of this. Hope feedback helps
